Migraine or vascular: If your hearing is normal, i doubt the ear is the source of the pain. There are many structures at the side of the face. These include the jaw joint, muscles that close the jaw, the teeth and gums. Inflammation of these structures can refer pain to the side of the head. Conversely, head pain can be caused by migraine, inflammation of vascular structures. See your primary doc.
