Facial swelling ?'s: Facial swelling as a result of an abscessed tooth and a prospective "extraction" may need a different antibiotic or an earlier visit to your dentist , as it can progress rapidly to more serious infection. Call and try to be seen earlier.

Dental Abscess: I'm sure you're in good hands, but you need to let your dentist know that the antibiotics are not controlling the infection. An incision/drainage may be indicated to remove the bulk of the infection to allow the antibiotic to work.
