Anatomy: In distribution of left ulnar nerve, raising question of compression at elbow, or wrist. Alternatively, this could be a digital nerve. You could choose to have this looked at, as electrodiagnostic testing could reveal answer.

See below: Most likely transient numbness due to sleep position. Any stretching and/or pressure on the ulnar nerve due to sleep position may cause a temporary numbness in the area of nerve distribution. Your personal physician can verify this, or possibly identify other less likely causes.
