A member asked:

I had a molar extraction early yesterday, the clot formed i don't know if it dislodged but it sunk to the bottom of the socket, but no extra pain?

No pain: Good sign. If you have increasing pain, foul taste, foul odor, swelling, excess bleeding, contact your General Dentist or the specialist Oral Surgeon that did your surgery. He/she is the practitioner that knows your situation best, and the practitioner that is responsible for your post-surgical care.

Dental exam: Revisit the dentist who did the extraction. If you reject the clot you may experience a dry socket which is painful and takes some time to heal.
