Does taking a probiotic and digestive enzyme help with post cholecystectomy diarrhea?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Postcholecystectomy: Postcholecystectomy diarrhea is somewhat common but usually resolves after several days but can persist for years. It's thought to be caused by increased bile salts released into the intestinal tract after gall bladder removal.. Probiotics, enzymes most likely aren't effective here. For prolonged diarrhea, cholestyramine has been recommended.
