Is the ankle considered fractured when you hear crunching noises with pain? i recently twisted my ankle and fell. there is no bruise but swelling and pain. i also jus got out of bed and put the foot on the floor and it has painfully crunched. explain?

Ankle fracture: Given that you have pain and swelling it would be advisable to get an x-ray to evaluate this. Unable to determine if there is a fracture or not based on what you stated.
