Normal: Hormonal fluctuations induced by breastfeeding can prevent normal menses from resuming. This is normal and usually resolves by 9m-1y or on ceasing breastfeeding. Do NOT assume, though, that you can't get pregnant during this time. Talk to your OB/Gyn Dr about alternative methods of birth control unless you want another baby right away.
