Surgical removal: These usually recur unless the capsule that surrounds the abscess inside the skin is broken up & removed. If this has recurred over that length of time it is obvious to me that it needs to be opened surgically/drained & the capsule removed. I often did this in my office under a local anesthetic.

Proper ABX TX after.: If you currently have an abscess, your doctor can easily drain the abscess content and submit the content for culture and sensitivity. This will allow to choose proper antibiotics to eradicate the offending organism. You might need to go to an emergency department of local hospital to achieve proper care as described.
