It can: Any amount of steroids can cause behavioral symptoms, even with just one dose. Anxiety and irritability are not uncommon. Good news is that medicine only hangs around about a week, and then things should be back to normal.

TAKES A WHILE: Steroids can increase and induce anxiety. Not sure how long it lasts but it should dissipate. Reduce caffeine and try to increase exercise to burn off the anxiety.
