I will be 5 weeks pregnant barely in dec5 .i don want to continue the pregnancy.. i have scheduled an appointment for the doctor at dec5.. they say if gestational sac cant be seen then they cant do procedureif they do procedure hows success rate?

5wk pregnancy: If the dating is accurate, by 5wks gestation ... on transvaginal ultrasound, you should be able to see a gestational sac. If a sac is not seen, then it may be either an abnormal intrauterine pregnancy or an ectopic. To differentiate, you could still have a D&C done. If they find villi in the specimen removed, then that should take care of the pregnancy. If no villi -- then treat for ectopic.
