Your call: The average 7 yo will have such symptoms several times/yr from self healing colds or allergies. If they can feed/sleep/play & otherwise function pretty normal I see little need for an office visit. If there is some other reason this spooks you have the kid seen. I find antihistamines often make the mucus of these kids thicker.

Cold symptoms: Antihistamines do not protect against viruses or the common cold. This is likely the first infection since starting antihistamine, with worse symptoms. Try cool mist or sitting in a steamy bathroom before having her blow her nose and cough. This often dislodges the phlegm temporarily. If she can eat, drink and cough she can likely remain at home.
