My child is 3years old and can't speak he only points at things?

Inability to speak : Please have him evaluated by a speech therapist, as 3 year olds should be speaking . That being said Einstein did not speak till he was 4 years old but that is not the usual process. So dont worry but do have him evaluated.

Needs evaluation: A child not talking at 3 is not normal. He could have hearing problems that would lead to lack of speech. He could also gave primary expressive language delay, where child understands and can follow commands, but does not himself speak. Regardless of cause, it's time to get speech therapy started so your child can begin speak....evaluation first by pediatrician, then child development specialist
