Headache: Awakening with a headache is a concern that needs to be discussed with your doctor. Possible problems that can be associated with this type of headache include uncontrolled blood pressure, migraine headaches, or other problems in the brain or in the skull that could be causing these headaches. You would need and examination and possibly some imaging studies before treatment could be suggested.
