Local irritation : If you have been congested, the lining of the nasal passages may be inflamed. Local nasal saline rinses and a gentle lotion for the outer edge of the nostrils may provide relief. With time the lining begins to heal. Post COVID 19, watch for distress, cough, shortness of breath and please follow up.

COVID 19 concerns: Unfortunately, COVID 19 can very much affect the nose. This doesn't necessarily mean that there is a secondary infection. Concur with earlier recommendation for use of saline rinse. Get emergency care for difficulty breathing, blue lips or face, significant & persistent chest pain or new-onset of confusion.

Co-morbidities: Have seen superimposed bacterial issues such as sinusitis and patchy pneumonias. Best to work closely with your local doctors, and purchase small home pulse oximiter device to monitor.
