Infection?: She may have a urinary tract infection. Talk to her pediatrician about what next steps to take and keep her hydrated. Her doctor can test for an infection.

Rule out UTI: Daughter may well have urinary infection. Urinalysis required plus urine culture for possible bacterial infection. Infant urine collection bag can be used if child is too young to voluntarily provide sample. She might need to be catheterized if a baby and urinalysis is nitrite positive, which is suggestive of bacteria in urine. Older chaild can provide clean voided specimen.
