I had a epidermoid cyst drained week ago. i went back today and it was still infected. i had no fever or streaks coming from the area. he removed it completely & sent home with more antibiotics. should removal of cyst and the antibiotics help?

Excising a cyst : Yes, surgical removal of the cyst should be curative. It is critical that the entire cyst sac be removed or recurrence is common. Complete your full course of antibiotics and if there is recurrence then maybe a referral to a surgeon is warranted.
