Normal: Light spotting in the Third Trimester is common. Because of the engorgement of all of the vaginal, cervical and uterine areas due to the size and weight of the baby, any of these can become irritated very easily. Spotting is most common after sex or a cervical exam. Watch for bright red blood and cramping as these can indicate a problem and should be addressed by an OB Dr.
