Not particularly: Some women never had one develop, some lose it in non sexual activities in childhood. Like your appendix it has no essential function. Once torn they scar. Minor tears are insignificant. Few if any docs in the US would likely ever consider "repairing" a torn one.

Agree with Dr. F: If you tore it having sex, you are at risk of pregnancy and STDs. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
