Ive gotten rid of patchy map tongue through diet with a naturopath but still have the same pain on one side of my tongue for months now. i got fully checked by my dentist and he assumed it was silent reflux. why the pain on one side of the tongue ?

Tongue pain: I’m skeptical that reflux is causing your tongue pain. A consult with an ENT physician might be useful.

Reflux: Reflux would affect both sides if it was the cause, which it probably is not. Your pain may be related to your dentition, but I assume that your dentist did a thorough exam with radiographs and did not find any issues. A consultation with an oral surgeon or an ENT might be helpful.
