Hi. my brother has covid-19 and his oxygen % is 89 is that bad? should we take him to the hospital? we have a neubilizer what solution should we put in to help him?

Would take him to ER: He saturation of 89% with someone who has Covid and is not good. By the fact that he has a nebulizer machine home leads me to believe that he has some underlying asthma or COPD which is a very complicating factor with patience with you with COVID-19 with that information I will take him to the emergency room to evaluate his up pulse ox symmetry of 89% as it could deteriorate.

O2 sat: Agree with Dr. Amico Sr. An oxygen saturation that is consistently below 90 to 92% needs medical assessment. Does he already have a pulmonary problem (since your have a nebulizer)?
