My uncle passed away yesterday on his own in hospital yesterday from covid. i am struggling to deal with this, and worried that he was scared and frightened. his oxygen sats dropped so low and it was so quick in the end. would he have known?

My condolences: He probably knew he was rather ill because he was in the hospital. I am certain that the physicians made him comfortable during the last few days of his life.

COVID 19: I agree with Dr. Dahl. I can't say if he was so hypoxemic that it impacted his level of awareness. I would try not to fret about exactly how he felt. You could really work yourself up if you focus intensely on this. The bottom line, is that he has passed and now it is your work to grieve this loss. Take care.
