I have nail pitting but i dont have skin problems,what could be the cause?

Several possible cau: There are several possible causes, most of which are associated with skin involvement. However, nail pitting can rarely occur in psoriasis as a presenting feature before there are are skin lesions. Other causes include fungal infection of nail but this is rare in fingernails. Finally, I would start by seeing a dermatologist. Nail scrapings can rule out a fungal infection.
