A member asked:

Can bronchospasm (narrowed and inflamed airways) cause neck and shoulder muscles to tense, thus causing tension headaches?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Backwards : The lungs are a separate system & localized airway narrowing does not alter distant systems directly. However, stress by itself can trigger bronchospasm & create a loop where both feed on one another. Those who learn meditation & relaxation skills can avoid much of this process.
