Gestational sac ?: An ultrasound which is showing an "irregular gestational sac" accompanied by some bleeding at "5 weeks" of pregnancy may indicate an impending miscarriage. A repeat U/S and HCG level should answer this question, but a poorly developed "sac" will not in general progress to a normal pregnancy.
