I think i have hives, it broke out yesterday afternoon. it is moving around my body. its now all over my legs, hands and eyelid area. but no longer around my throat and upper arms. when should i see a doctor?

Urticaria/Hives: These are itchy, red, spreading areas of skin which swell, and then disappear only to appear in other places. You may see a doctor at any time. Usually a specific cause is not found. It is important to seek medical care if there is lip or tongue swelling, difficulty breathing, or difficulty swallowing.

Might not need doc!: You may not need for these hives. Use Benadryl or its generic medication religiously every 6 hours for 24 hours after hives have resolved. Keep skin cool. Can add Claritan or its generic as well. Avoid what you think cause could be. If severe itching, involvement of lips/mouth, short of breath, lasts more than a week , then see doctor for possible use of steroids.
