Cold sore: I prefer tablets-either acyclovir or valtrex or famvir but can also treat with Lysine tablets 500 mg, 3 tabs x 5 days then 500 mg 1 tablet x 5 days. f/u/ w/ MD

Oral medication: top meds may be effective, but oral meds are much more effective.
