Cancer? Rectum: The fact you had polyps removed does not mean you are going to have a Cancer in the future. It simply means that you have somewhat increased risk for developing Cancer. Accordingly you need future colon/rectom checks as advised by your doctor. This is the best way to prevent having a cancer in this part of your body. Good luck

Agree with Dr. L: It is important to follow your doctor's advice about repeat colonoscopy and to have any new polyps removed. You may increase fiber in your diet. Taking small doses of aspirin may help, but you should consult your doctor before taking aspirin over the long haul. Wish you good health!
