Silent reflux: 3 months is a long time to have an infection, usually it is more likely to be inflammation. There is something called laryngo-esophageal reflux or silent reflux that can present in a similar fashion. Treatment is proton pump inhibitors for 8-12 weeks. You can discuss this with your ENT if not already considered.
