A member asked:

Is there a staining that is used in double endoscopy or push endoscopy that show small intestine cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Small intestine: Cancers of the small intestine are exceedingly difficult to diagnose. Placing a camera via endoscopy or swallowing a pill camera is a common test. Other endoscopic tests allow specialists to pass tools through the scope to obtain small intestinal tissues for sampling. In some cases open surgery or laparoscopic surgery are performed to allow passage of a video camera through incisions.
