Hello, i had a blood test 3 months ago and tested 26 ast and 32 alt. this has always been my readings in the past as well. i just received blood test and it shows elevated to 119 alt and 63 ast levels. what could be causing this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it could be from drinking alcohol, viral infection, or some medication you took. You may repeat the test in 3 months. No alcohol or Tylenol. Wish you good health!
