Is ecsema a totally different conditiin than soriasis?

Yes: Eczema and psoriasis have different causes, presentations, and treatments, as well as different associated illnesses and prognoses. As a rule of thumb, eczema can be considered a mild allergic reaction with dry skin. Psoriasis is a rhematologic illness that can also cause a significant arthritis and rarely other problems.

Eczema vs psoriasis: Eczema and psoriasis are different and generally, there are different treatments for each. Eczema is often related to allerdies, hay fever, asthma, and keratosis pilaris -- little dry red bumps on the arms and elsewhere. Common locations for eczema are hands, inside elbows and behind knees. Psoriasis usually forms thicker plaques than excema and is frequently on scalp, elbows and knees.
