Both immunologic: Psoriasis and eczema are both immunological conditions that cause inflammation in the skin. Eczema is histamine driven and is related to hay fever and asthma. People with eczema have more allergies. Psoriasis is a systemic inflammatory condition that affects the skin and joints, and more recently found to also affect the heart. Patients with psoriasis have higher risks of developing skin cancers.
