Concerning: Persistent abdominal discomfort with associated tenderness for a week is worrisome. Right lower abdominal symptoms are seen with appendicitis,right sided diverticulitis,inflammatory bowel disease(Crohn's disease) or pelvic inflammatory disease. Right upper discomfort occurs with gall bladder or liver inflammation. See your physician or abdominal surgeon for evaluation or go to the emergency room.
