A member asked:

My8-week-oldson hasnt pooped in six days. all he gets is breast milk plus 60 ml of formula. is this normal? is he constipated? what shall i do?

Constipated ?: Constipated means dry/bulky stools at that age. If it is soft when he does go it is normal. Breast fed kids can go a little every feed or once a week. Adding formula usually makes them go daily, but a mix may be less often. Infants lack strong bell muscles so they must tense their breathing muscle to poop & often appear to struggle. If constipated 1 oz of prune juice 1-3X/day gets them mooving.
