Numbness: Since you apparently had an MRI of your lumbosacral spine demonstrating a herniated disc impinging upon a nerve root, you must have seen a physician in order to get the MRI. Many of these disc herniations resolve after several weeks. Concern is if severe pain or leg weakness occur which requires urgent treatment- usually surgery. A neurosurgeon is best to evaluate, advise and follow you.
