Need exam: This is a change in the vitreous located behind the lens, it fills the cavity of the back part of the eye. This change could cause some retina problems. It is best to see your eye doctor for evaluation of this.

It usually will not.: Floaters or seeing flies in your eyes are signs of vitreous detachment from the retina and is a normal phenomenon with or without cataract surgery. Since after cataract surgery vitreous detachment is more common quite a number of patients complain of seeing floaters. It usually stays. You have to pay no attention to it. However if it is new your eye dr. Must check your retina asap.
