I have a splint with badges on , how long can i go without putting on a cast? p.s. my splint has been on for 3 weeks ago and was put on in the er.

See ortho: If the er staff put you in a splint then chances are they also recommended you see an ortho to follow-up. Follow-ups are usually 7-10 days following the date of er visiit. Wearing a splint for an extended period of time can cause serious skin irritation. You should see an ortho asap to check on the status of your injury, & move into a cast, walking boot, or brace.
