Vomiting muscle pain: The diaphragm and external intercostal (inspiration) muscles contract with abdominal (expiratory) muscles in bursts of activity at expulsion. Internal intercostal muscles contract out of synch with these muscles during vomiting and are inacte during expulsion. This can be uncomfortable. There are secretions of acids during vomiting that can contribute to discomfort. If persists consult your doc.
