My docotor prescribed verapamil 80mg 4 days ago because i had an episode of a panic attack, i take1/2 in the morning and the other 1/2 at night, but i do not like the side effects it has on me. can i just stop taking it?

Verapamil: Verapamil, a type of calcium channel blocker, lowers blood pressure and slows the heart rate, Because of these effects, we usually xtaper the patient off it in order to avoid rebound effects. However, you are on a small dose and I wouldn't expect much of a rebound in blood pressure or heart rate if you stopped it, Nevertheless, as Dr. Fowler advises, have your physician guide you.
