Clomid (clomiphene) Start: You want to start Clomid (clomiphene) in the beginning of the menstrual cycle. Clomid (clomiphene) works by increasing the stimulation to the ovary. The lining is only one factor involved. An ultrasound will show if the ovaries are ready to be stimulated no matter what the lining in the uterus looks like.
