I have an injury on my left knee, i fell yesterday at work i have been in pain since. there aren't any abrasion just the pain its getting worse by the hour. there no signs of fracture though just an excruciating pain.help please?

Exam,xray: If you feel that the pain is out of proportion to the kind of injury you sustained, a fracture of the kneecap is a possibility although there is usually associated swelling with this injury. Perhaps it's only a contusion, but I feel examination and xray would be advisable if severe pain isn't improved with icing,elevation of the leg and taking anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen or naproxe
