Depends: A laboratory test without a clinical history or a reason for doing the test often is meaningless. If the d-dimer test was done in consideration of a variety of disorders, then it could be significant. Such would include Covid, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary emboli, and certain cancers. Inotherwords, why was it done in the first place?
