33 year old. ibs for the past couple of years that comes and goes. the past three days i have been noticing black specks in stool and also experiencing upper right abdominal pain?

GI bleeding: The black specks you describe suggest bleeding somewhere along the gastro-intestinal tract which is usually caused by ulceration. Follow up with your treating physician to figure out the source of bleeding and whether medication adjustment or another remedial approach is needed.

Bloody stool: not necessarily normal to have bloody stools with IBS. Cramping and pain is normal. See your doctor to make sure its nothing else.
