Heel pain: Common heel pain causes are plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendinitis. Both share heel contact which pain, while the causes are different. You mention work out, and if this includes jumping with heel landings, or jogging (heel toe contact). Simple treatment would be using a 1/4” heel lift available at drug stores, or orthotics fit to your foot to correct the problem. See a doc if this persists.

More information : I agree with everything the doctor said. I would add to place a heel lift in both shoes or you could create other problems. If you are talking about plantar fasciitis then I would consider an arch support or a custom orthotics
