Define constipation: Your typical breast fed baby can have a little poo smear every feeding or one giant blowout every 7-10 days. Bottle fed go daily. If soft, i don't consider it constipation. Wetting every 6 hours or more & feeding vigorously are signs of good basic health. If they put out rabbit pellets I feed them 1 oz of full strength prune juice 1-3x/day. This gets them moving in 1-3 days.

?really constipation: You need to describe more accurately what you are calling constipation. 1 month olds can go days in between stools and be fine. Constipation in infants is hard, difficult to pass, large stools. It does not matter how often, just consistancy of the stool. Babies also make lots of faces, grunt and pass gas and all of this is normal and not anything to worry . Baby has soft/mushy stools, NORMAL.
