A member asked:

Do i go directly to an ent or a gp?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Throat lump: The sensation of a throat lump is often caused by tension and anxiety, a condition called globus hystericus. You could go for an examination to your GP to exclude throat pathology, but in my experience with this condition most patients aren't reassured until they consult an Otolaryngologist(ENT). Stress management therapy can improve globus symptoms should that be your diagnosis.
