Doc not poke: Do not put items in your ear canal. There are several systems which use pulsating water to both soften and remove wax. These can be purchased at nearby pharmacies. Your family doc can remove the wax under visualization which is quick and painless. Ear wax softeners can be used afterward to prevent hard build ups. Good luck
