If i was diagnosed with anxiety and prescribed medication for a decade but weaned myself off in hopes of it helping and have now been off the medication for nearly 2 years but failed to find any substitution. can i be put back on my previous meds?

Anxiety Disorder: Please consult w/your prescribing doc about getting back on medication. Also, consider expanding your thoughts on the many ways to treat anxiety. There are safe and effective behavioral/psychological treatments that do not use medications. A clinical psychologist would be the type of provider to see in that case. Peace and good health.

Yes: You will need to re-visit your previous physician or perhaps now, a new one. There are also newer meds coming out all the time, many tout more effectiveness with less side effects. Have you also pursued psychotherapy? Might want to look into that before the meds.
