BV diagnosis: There are grades of bacterial vaginosis and tests for it. Many women have on and off minor signs. With no symptoms (abnormal vaginal odor or discharge) it is unlikely you have BV, no matter what the tests may show. Without symptoms, it's usually best not to test for it. And by the way, Gram stain doesn't "grow" anything: like wet mount, it it looks at vaginal fluid under a microscope.
