Not an STD: Ureaplasma is a normal bacteria in the genital tract. Knowledgeable STD experts almost never test for it; half of all sexually active people have it. Yeast also is not sexually transmitted. BV may or may not be an STD; experts don't agree. You may be able to prevent recurrent BV by consistent condom use.
